    Thanx Perina: when you eat corn as a “stand alone” food without heaps of butter, it doesn’t have a lot of calories, according to calorie tables I have seen. Why, when it is made into corn syrup, or corn “sweetener” does it suddenly turn into a monster that has like 500 calories per ounce, or a freaky sum along that line?
